Description

Murdoch’s Connection is a modern pedestrian and cycle footbridge in Hull. It provides a safe, convenient link for walkers and cyclists across the busy A63 Castle Street dual carriageway (a major road that previously separated the city centre from the waterfront).

The 60-metre-long structure, designed by Matter Architecture with Arup for Highways England, features a striking curved canopy for shelter, integrated landscaping at the approaches, and viewing platforms. It has become an iconic landmark and gateway to Hull's historic Old Town, helping reunite parts of the city divided by traffic.
