Slow Sundays: Drawing Group

Discover a different way to experience Ferens Art Gallery at Slow Sundays: Drawing Group, an informal session for adults interested in practising their artistic skills. Led by established artist Esther Cawley, a Royal Drawing School alumna, the group encourages participants to experiment with drawing techniques while taking inspiration from artworks on display.

The session combines opportunities to draw from life, develop observational skills and work in the gallery's dedicated Create Gallery studio. Esther will be available to offer practical advice and individual guidance, allowing participants to progress at their own pace.

Beginners and experienced artists aged 18 and over are welcome. Drawing materials, paper and easels are supplied, with participants also invited to bring their own sketchbooks and equipment. The group aims to develop collaboratively, with future activities shaped by members' creative interests.
