Explore one of Hull’s most iconic maritime attractions as the Spurn Lightship is now open to the public — newly refurbished and relocated for an even better visitor experience.
This much-loved vessel, which once guided ships safely through the Humber Estuary, has undergone significant restoration work to preserve its legacy. Now positioned in its new home in Hull Marina located near the Murdoch’s Connection footbridge, the lightship offers visitors a unique chance to step aboard and immerse themselves in Hull’s rich seafaring history.
Guests can explore the ship’s interior, discover what life was like for the crew living and working on board, and learn about the vital role the vessel played in maritime navigation.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am – 3pm, the Spurn Lightship is free to visit.
Visitors are encouraged to book tickets in advance, as capacity is limited. Walk-ins are welcome but may need to wait during busy times, so pre-booking is the best way to secure your visit.
